Johnson Products Company Featured in Walgreens Community Corner Initiative During Black History Month

Nation’s Largest Drugstore Chain Promotes JPC Products in February


New York, NY – February 9, 2011:  Johnson Products Company, Inc. (JPC) is one of this year’s minority-owned companies selected to be featured in Walgreens Community Corner program during Black History Month.  As a program participant, JPC and all of it beauty products that are sold at Walgreens stores will be featured all month long in select Walgreens locations across the country.


“We at Johnson Products Company are very excited to be a part of Walgreens Community Corner program that honors Black History Month,” said Eric Brown, CEO of Johnson Products Company.  “Their dedicated effort to support minority-and-women owned businesses is commendable and we hope the program will continue to raise awareness amongst its consumers and the JPC consumer about the importance of supporting entrepreneurs of color.”


Walgreens launched Community Corner last year.  The program allows Walgreens consumers to easily identify products by diverse vendors through displays, in-store signage and announcements, national print and radio advertisements, in-store product demonstrations and a new “Community Corner” sticker that will be placed on each featured item.  On February 7, JPC Founder, George E. Johnson, will be featured in Walgreens weekly newspaper circular as part of this month-long effort.
